Don’t be ignorant. Like others have said before, drunk driving is 100% avoidable. If there is any chance you’ll have to drive, don’t drink. Saying that MADD is connected to Al Quaeda is like saying that ESPN is providing safe-havens for child predators. No. such. connection.

Thank you. It’s nice to see someone else that actually uses logic and facts in regard to this topic instead of emotional arguments. I read that an estimated 1.5 billion drunk driving trips occur in the US every year and 13,000 die. That is a tiny, tiny percentage. Drunk driving is not an epidemic like MADD would like people to believe. Obesity is an epidemic. Narcissism is an epidemic. If they really want to make the roads safer, they should make it much, much harder to get a liscense.

In 2008, an estimated 11,773 people died in drunk driving crashes involving a driver with an illegal BAC (.08 or greater). These deaths constitute 31.6 percent of the 37,261 total traffic fatalities in 2008. 30 percent of traffic fatalities are caused by drink driving. That’s not including people who were injured but survived.

300 million americans don’t drive. There may have been 1.5 million arrests when there was no accidents, but I can promise you that not included is the amount of property damage that is not reported as well. It’s an interesting point but not very accurate I’m afraid. You don’t think 13 000 is too many? Most people would say 1 is too many. I honestly think you’re just trolling but if you aren’t, your logic is seriously skewed.

Drinking and driving is not good but the problem is the enforcement of these laws. The American Medical Association recommends .15 and the legal limit of intoxication. I do not trust a police person to give me a medical exam or tell me that I am impaired for any reason. The very fact that they can draw blood if you refuse a breathalizer without nurse or doctor supervision is absurd. So don’t be a “Polyanna” and wake up and realize you are loosing every right under the law.

The flu is really hard to prevent and it is at the end nobody´s fault, but drinking and driving is totally avoidable, it just take peoples willingness to not to drive if they have already drank. It is really unfair that someone else dies or get involved in a car accident just because someone else was a drunk driver.

out of 300 million Americans, only 13,000 did this happen to. More people die of the flu each year than this. Why are we so vicious on the social drinkers and incentivize the police on this one crime? There are 1.5 million arrests where there were no accidents and yet people’s lives were ruined because by law they can be denied a jury trial. This is a direct Constitutional violation. I believe MADD is connect to Al Quaeda.

Obviously, this is a drunk driving PSA and I’m not knocking that (it’s a very effective ad), but has anyone considered whether the incessant badgering from the passenger might have contributed to him running the stop sign? It could just as easily be a PSA about distracted driving. Just throwing that out there.

the only reason the crash is fast forward is because they film the crash at slow speeds cause there ofv not gonna make a real crash and speed it up to look like its at a real speed also speeding it up u dont see the dummies that are replaced instead of the actor as much.
