Faulty breathalyzers spur review of hundreds of DUI cases

Ventura County prosecutors will look at nearly 300 DUI cases in which the Alco-Sensor V was used. In 157 of those, defendants have already pleaded guilty or no contest. Prosecutors in Ventura County will review nearly 300 drunk-driving cases because of problems with a type of breathalyzer used by agencies throughout the county since January.
