No DUI arrests made at Lompoc checkpoint; 2 arrests on other charges

No DUI arrests are made at a checkpoint in Lompoc Wednesday night. Officers say some 300 vehicles passed through the checkpoint set up in the 600 block of N. O St. More than 100 people were evaluated for DUI, but none were over the legal limit. One person was arrested for driving without a license. The family of 30-year-old Eric Wells, the man who was killed in a crash involving IMPD Officer David Bisard, said they are angry to learn the DUI charges against the cop will be dropped. As citizens you want to believe in the justice system and the police who are supposed to uphold the law. Case in point, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police.
