A checkpoint late Saturday and early Sunday stopped more than 620 drivers and resulted in 20 DUI arrests, police said. Kansas City police worked with Jackson County deputies at the stop at 7712 Wornall Road.

Hit-and-run results in DUI arrest in Upper Allen Township
Police say Scott Wiggins, 25, of Mechanicsburg, was under the influence of alcohol around 1:40 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle struck several road signs on South Market Street in Upper Allen Twp. before being stopped by police in Simpson Park.
