This weekend, the Vermont State Police responded to a number of calls for vehicles off the road. They would like to remind drivers of the hazards of winter driving and operators should also slow down as they approach emergency vehicles and be patient when encountering plow trucks on the roadways.

A snow plow driver was arrested, accused of drinking on the job.  40-year-old Brian Doss of Columbia was charged with DUI over the weekend.  He was working for the state and clearing the snow on Louis B. Nunn Parkway when he lost control of the plow and slid off the road.  He was not hurt.  Doss was taken to the Adair County Jail.
